A compilation of footage of Michael Jackson rehearsing for a planned series of London concerts is to be released in cinemas across the world at the end of October, it has been confirmed. The Michael Jackson movie has been made using hundreds of hours’ worth of video taken during rehearsals at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, as well as the Forum in the Californian city of Inglewood. As well as footage of the late star gearing up for his eagerly-anticipated comeback at the O2 Arena, the movie will also feature interviews with a number of Jackson’s musical collaborators. Announcing the news, Kenny Ortega, the director of the High School Musical series of films and the King of Pop’s artistic partner for the This Is It concerts, said: "It will show Michael as one of the greatest entertainers in the world." The film will be released on October 30th and be in cinemas for just two weeks.
