Self-Paint Dress Launched for Christmas

A new dress has been launched in the build up to the Christmas party season allowing owners to pick their own unique color schemes seconds before leaving the house. The innovative garment, created by fashion designer Berber Soepboer and graphic designer Michiel Schuurman, can be colored in using a set of pens which are sold with each dress. Berber, told British newspaper the Daily Mail: "The concept of the dresses makes it possible that the cloth is partly designed by the person who wears it, which hopefully makes them more valuable to the wearer. "The result is a reaction to the rapidly changing fashion. The dress will be unique." The 1960s style knee-length dress, described by Michiel as a "conversation piece", comes in black and white template design and can be altered using special textile marker pens. Women can get their hands on the unique items, which come in four sizes and cost around €250 ($363), by visiting the designer's website at www.michielschuurman.nl.
