Sex Stops After 35 For Women In UK
A new survey claims that more than a quarter of women over 35 in the UK 'never' have sex.
According to the survey of 745 women aged 35 to 64 by the UK's Sky Real Lives cable channel, many are leading lives of quiet sexual desperation. Women in Scotland were most likely to be celibate (38 per cent), with 28 per cent celibacy across the United Kingdom.
However, if the celibacy is non-voluntary, they could move to the midlands, where 32 per cent women claim to have sex regularly.
The low figures have been attributed to women's busy lives, with women who work part-time more likely to have orgasms (67 per cent) than full-time workers (57 per cent).
The main reason given for the celibacy is due to the pressures of work. This stress puts them off the idea and leaves them too tired or without the time for sex.
Hitting the age of 35 is also likely to affect self-esteem, as women deal with menopause fears and image worries.
Having children is also likely to make women less orgasmic, with only 12 per cent of mothers reporting orgasms. Strangely, mothers with two children did marginally better at 14 per cent.
Childless women were comparatively happy with their sex lives, with just under half, or 41 per cent, claiming to be sexually satisfied each time they make love.
