Where Do Celebrities Vacation? Top Destinations For 2010
When celebrities go on vacation, they do it in style, and spare no expense, for top 2010 destinations.
With a demanding life in the limelight you can't blame them for choosing vacation destinations that really count.
If someone wanted to disappear from the world, where better to do it than your own private island. Cayo Espanto, in Belize, offers just this. The absolute cheapest way to stay there costs just over three thousand American dollars for a minimum three night stay. You can, however, rent the entire island if you wish. Like the saying goes: everything has its price. Staying there includes a personal butler service with custom tailored meals and snacks, some rooms have private pools, and all have a beautiful view of the ocean. This is the place to go if you want to feel like the king of an island, if only for a short while.
Another great place on the beach is Caneel Bay in the Virgin Islands. The resort was “discovered” by Laurance Rockefeller in 1952 and he purchased five thousand surrounding acres which were later donated to the local government to create a national park. This is the place to be if you are looking to vacation in a natural setting. They have many guest rooms, but you can rent the island home once used by the Rockefeller family if you are looking for an even more secluded stay on the already remote peninsula. If one beach is not enough, they have divided the resort into 7 secluded beaches, each with its own charm.
If you were looking for a quick retreat here in the United States, look no further than Cordillera. The lodge and spa at Cordillera is world class ski accommodation at its best. The resort was inspired by a chateau in Belgium, and looks like something straight out of the movies. It is perched high in the mountains and is said to overlook the best view in Vail Valley. With year round activities from skiing to whitewater rafting, the resort has you covered. They will take care of your every need, while you go out and play in the great outdoors all day. The restaurants are rated best in the state, which is great, even for the most demanding of diners. For a quick weekend getaway, this place is tough to top.
The next place is so great that Winston Churchill painted it, and D.H. Lawrence wrote about it. Gran Hotel a Villa Feltrinelli is located in Northern Italy, on the western shore of Lake Garda. The resort was built by a prominent family in 1892 and used as a summer retreat originally. It was bought in 1997 and turned into a resort for all to enjoy. No expense was spared designing and decorating the building in correct period manner. With features like heated marble floors and restored antique furniture, it would be easy to relax at this place. There is a secluded library that doubles as a screening theater if you are looking to stimulate your mind. The hotel has a custom built boat for tours that you can even rent to take you to lakeside restaurants if you desire. Located 45 minutes east by car from the setting of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” it is hard to imagine a destination with more old world charm.
There are many excellent places to vacation, but these are a select few that anyone with lots of money to spend and a desire for the best, are sure to enjoy. Read More»
