5 Tips for Perfect Eyebrows
Eyebrows make or break a person’s face, so you better get ‘em right! Here are some tips on how to create the perfect brow:
Do Not Over Pluck!
Gone are the days of having eyebrows so thin that one hair follows the next. Forget the thin or thick brow trends- always go with your natural brow shape. Never pluck above (unless you have a wandering stray) and just pluck out the stray hairs underneath, leaving your natural arch.Do Not Wax
Okay, you can go get your eyebrows waxed by a professional once, but only as a guide to get the perfect shape. Waxing your eyebrows pulls on the sensitive thin skin above your eye. If you continue to wax, it will eventually result in potentially saggy lids. Continue reading “5 Tips for Perfect Eyebrows” » Read More»4 Reasons You Should Use Mineral Makeup
Mineral make-up is simply that: Minerals. You won’t find parabens, preservatives, petroleum products or talc in Mineral makeup. This makes mineral makeup great for people with acne or sensitive skin; and because it’s a mineral, it also has a calming effect on your skin.
Glow
Since those little specs of powder are actually minerals, it makes your skin glow! (think of the shiny sand on the beach). This was the first thing I noticed when my friend bought mineral powder — her skin was just glowing!Mineral Powder is Ultra Lightweight
It doesn’t soak into your pores like regular foundation; it acts like shingles on a roof and stays on the outer layer of your skin. This gives it a very lightweight texture that’s not clammy or caked-on like regular foundation. It doesn’t feel like there’s anything on your face at all, and it’s perfect for the summer heat! Pastel shades are going to be the must have color for fingernails this spring for women with the fingers on the pulse of fashion, one expert has advised. Heather Steele, head of marketing and product development at Nails Inc, said the firm is going to be promoting "ice cream colors" for spring 2010. Nails Inc, which formed in 1999, is now one of the world's biggest nail bar chains with 65 outlets currently operating. "We've got some really gorgeous pistachio green type colors, muted lilacs and a gorgeous light blue coming out in the spring," added Ms Steele. Never one to be late to cotton on to a trend, Victoria Beckham has been seen sporting light blue varnish on her nails this month. For women looking to make their nails stand out a bit more, Ms Steele also predicted bright neon shades would be making a return this year. "It's coming back with a vengeance and we are going neon crazy in summer … we can't avoid it and you shouldn't want to because it does look fantastic when you have got a tan," she added. Women's Hairstyles to Be Less Structured
Women will be looking for new hairstyles with less structure for the forthcoming season, according to one expert stylist. Lucie Seffens, senior press relations coordinator, at TONI&GUY, said ladies will be looking for softer, less-styled hairdos for the new year. "We are working on a kind of groomed and glamorous feel, but going with more of an undone texture," she said. According to Ms Seffens the new look will appear "a little bit more lived in, very natural and organic". "Shapes are not so structured, we are losing the graphicness and layers are looking a bit more grown out. Shorter hair is soft on the face and very feminine," she added. An end to stark shades of hair such as bright blond and jet black was also predicted by Ms Seffens who said women will be looking for as natural a look as possible when it comes to coloring. She advised that using a mixture of colors in the hair can create a "seamless" blend, which is nicer than more "obvious" color placements.
