How To Marry Rich

Posted by | 0 Comments

What would happen if we all told the truth for just one day? That's right, 24 hours of speaking your mind when it's not proper, telling people what you think when they might not want to hear it, and throwing social norms to the curb when they're the one thing people cling to the tightest. Well, if we had to take a guess, we'd say that many CEO's would find out their employees hate them and are just staying in their job until they land the job they actually want, women would learn the hard way not to ask if their jeans make them look fat, and men and women alike would learn that many people do, in fact, still marry for money.

The first two statements probably don't surprise you. The third might not either, but for those of you thinking that the "MRS degree" is a thing of the past, think again. So let's stop pretending and put it out there—women still marry for money. Maybe they don't marry only for the money, but make no mistake about it, money is still a big factor in many marriage decisions. In fact, chances are that even you, yes you, the shining example of moral integrity, have made a relationship decision based on money. And you might not have even realized it until now. You know those thoughts you’ve had when considering a new relationship, or even when considering ending a relationship? That fleeting "well the money is/would be nice" thought? Yes, that's the one—the one that tells you you've considered money in a dating decision. But that's okay, that just means you're human. So for those of us who admit to being human and caring about the money a partner will bring to a relationship, here's a little guide on how to marry rich without pulling the Pretty Woman prostitute-who-steals-a-millionaire's-heart-and-lives-happily-ever-after scenario.

First of all, if you want to marry rich, your best bet is to start by socializing rich. If you think about it, most relationships are formed through social circles, as it brings a level of pre-established trust to the relationship. You can socialize rich by joining business associations in your community and attending events, upping the amount of time you spend with your "well-off" friends and becoming more involved in their daily routines and events, or even through becoming a part of a local charity, as many wealthy people often serve on the boards of these charities.

Another option, if college is still in your future, is to go for the same tactic as those ever-popular MRS degree seekers. If you don't know, an MRS degree is a term used to by those who only attend college to get married (hence the "Mrs.") and be taken care of. While your ultimate goal may not be to meet someone and never make use of your real degree, there's no question that certain schools (Ivy league, for example) attract a more wealthy student body, and attending these schools allows you to interact with these people every day and form real relationships which could lead to something more.

Marrying rich may have a stigma, but if you're confident enough to own the fact that it's a goal of yours, and you're not trying to hurt anyone in the process, and have it all, there are plenty of fish in the sea. And hey, if these techniques don't work, there’s always Millionaire Matchmaker.

Men Cheat More Than Women

Poll Shows Men Cheat More

As too many women know, men cheat. Women are not innocent themselves but now there's a new study that proves those feminine theories.

The dating site Smooch.com found in a poll of more than 7,000 members that over a quarter of men, or 35 per cent, confessed to having an affair at one point in their lives.

Most men have strayed at least once by the time they reach their 60s, claims a new survey.

This is in comparison to only 29 per cent of women who were unfaithful.

The survey found the surprising trend that younger men are the least likely to stray. Only 31 per cent of young men have cheated.

However, faithfulness in true love falls aside as men get older, with almost half, or 44 per cent, of men over 60 admitting to being unfaithful to their spouse.

Less shockingly, the better-looking a man has the higher likelihood to cheat on his partner. Men over 6ft (43 per cent) those with high salaries (65 per cent) and also those with Adonis-like bodies (47 per cent) were the most likely to end up in another woman's bed.

However, looks aren't everything. Men with beards were a staggering 85 per cent likely to have something on the side.

Sex Stops After 35?!

Sex Stops After 35 For Women In UK

A new survey claims that more than a quarter of women over 35 in the UK 'never' have sex.

According to the survey of 745 women aged 35 to 64 by the UK's Sky Real Lives cable channel, many are leading lives of quiet sexual desperation. Women in Scotland were most likely to be celibate (38 per cent), with 28 per cent celibacy across the United Kingdom.

However, if the celibacy is non-voluntary, they could move to the midlands, where 32 per cent women claim to have sex regularly.

The low figures have been attributed to women's busy lives, with women who work part-time more likely to have orgasms (67 per cent) than full-time workers (57 per cent).

The main reason given for the celibacy is due to the pressures of work. This stress puts them off the idea and leaves them too tired or without the time for sex.

Hitting the age of 35 is also likely to affect self-esteem, as women deal with menopause fears and image worries.

Having children is also likely to make women less orgasmic, with only 12 per cent of mothers reporting orgasms. Strangely, mothers with two children did marginally better at 14 per cent.

Childless women were comparatively happy with their sex lives, with just under half, or 41 per cent, claiming to be sexually satisfied each time they make love.

Men Seek Wives Who Are “Better Than Themselves”

Men Look to Marry 'Someone Superior'

Men who moan that their wives think they are superior to them may just hold the key to marital bliss.

A new study has found that men stand a better chance of enjoying a lasting marriage if they marry women who are five years their junior and more intelligent.

Researchers at the UK's University of Bath carried out a study of 1,000 married couples and found they were three times more likely to end up divorced in cases where the wife was five years older than the husband.

However, if the age gap is reversed and the woman is more educated, the chances of a happy marriage are improved.

The news comes as no surprise to Kate Taylor, a relationship expert for online dating company match.com, who says men look to marry someone who can make them a better person.

She said: "[The wife] is the more 'sensible' one, with higher aspirations and [the] husband looks to her for inspiration.

"I think men like to feel that they are marrying someone who is 'better' than they are in terms of things like education, spirituality and morality…someone he can look up to and emulate in these areas."

"He can put this kind of woman on a higher pedestal than someone his equal or below," she concluded.

Wines of Chile Study Reveals Women Who Show and Tell are the Majority

People who want personal information to remain a secret should perhaps avoid confiding in women as a new study shows women keep secrets for less than 48 hours.

Research by the Wines of Chile, which was undertaken to mark Chile's National Day, revealed that women can keep knowledge a secret for an average of 47 hours and 15 minutes before confiding in somebody else.

A boyfriend, husband or mother would be the most likely confidante, the study showed. From the 3,000 women questioned, one in four admitted that they were not able to keep a secret safe.

A further six out of ten informed someone uninvolved in the secret so the person who originally told it is unlikely to discover that the dirt was dished.

Michael Cox, UK director of Wines of Chile, said: "We were really keen to find out with this survey how many secrets people are told.

"What we didn't bank on was how quickly these are passed on by those we confide in."

Further findings showed that more than half of those women questioned said they would be more likely to tell the secret after drinking alcohol.

Six Degrees of Separation from True Love

Not too keen on broadcasting your singledom throughout the vastness of cyberspace? Chat with friends, family, and friends of friends and do some serious networking to let them know who and what you're looking for in a relationship, and let the theory of six degrees of separation do the rest.

Throw a Recycle Men Party

Forget diamonds! References are a girl's best friend. Invite your girlfriends over for cocktails and tapas, and ask them to bring along a guy who didn't make the cut for them, but is still an eligible candidate with potential. Maybe it wasn't a match made in heaven for the two of them, but if your girlfriend thinks enough of her ex to try to help him find true love he can't be all bad. Think of it as pre-screening with a twist.

Help Him Make the First Move

Go Out Without Your Girlfriends

Occasionally ditching the chicks means there's no chance of bickering over guys and means he doesn't have to venture into the depths of no-man's land to strike up a conversation.

Create an Opportunity for Chivalry

Are there any genuine gentlemen left? It sounds incredibly hokey, but be spontaneous and let something fall discretely (a book, a pen, whatever). If he takes the bait, you've just broken the ice (but made him feel as if he's made the first move).

Join an Activity that Breaks the Ice

TemptingKiss.com suggests adult education classes or clubs as great places to meet men who are interested in the same things as you. Good ones include drawing, cooking, or Do-It-Yourself classes and running clubs. Joining classes creates a regular non-date session where you can learn something, catch his eye and have something in common to talk about.
